Songs for a Summer's Evening: Gershwin, Porter, Kern and more

Classic songs by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, and others with ravishing piano solos and some historical and cultural introduction to this great period of the flourishing of American song. The recital, in the air-conditioned church, is in two parts with a sparkling wine reception at interval in the beautiful St Benedict's Courtyard, a hidden garden in the heart of Greenwich Village. The two Australian performers, Richard Symons and Amir Farid, take no fees. Proceeds are in aid of Ads-Up (ads-up.org) assisting with the resettlement of refugees.
