The live of Mozart and Schuman were separated by the ravages of revolution and war. Evolution however explores the morepeaceful development of musical expression from the 18th to the 19th centuries. The refined and inspired classicism of Mozart is juxtaposed with the stormy romanticism of the passionate and worldly Schumann.
