Peninsula Music Society - John Tallis Peppercorn Piano Recital

The John Tallis Peppercorn Piano Recital is a new addition to the Peninsula Music Society’s annual concert series, as the result of their recent possession of a brand new Schimmel grand piano. Sure can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Venue: Peninsula Community Theatre, corner of Wilsons Rd and the Nepean Hwy, Mornington, Victoria (Melway ref. 145 E2).

  • Mozart - Sonata in F K.332
  • Stuart Greenbaum - Evocation
  • Beethoven - Sonata No.31 in Ab Op.110
  • Rachmaninoff - Variations on a Theme of Corelli, Op.42
  • Brahms - Variations on a Theme of Paganini, Op.35 Book I
  • Prokofiev - Toccata in d minor, Op.11

Admission: Adult: $30, Senior or each of a group of 10 or more: $27, Pensioner: $22, Student under 25 or child under 16: $12, Family (1 or 2 adults and children): $75.

Recital for the Camberwell Music Society with mezzo-soprano Alexandra Sherman

Alexandra ShermanMezzo-soprano Alexandra Sherman was winner of the 2006 Mietta Song Recital Award. I was very fortunate to play with her on that occasion, and I am thrilled to be able to accompany her once again in this recital for the Camberwell Music Society (click here for the CMS website).

Benaud Trio appointed 3MBS-FM Musicians-in-Residence for 2007

Benaud TrioIn 2007 the Benaud Trio will take over from the Flinders Quartet as Musicians-in-Residence at 3MBS-FM. We are very much looking forward to working at the station which has been an integral part of Melbourne’s classical music scene for over 30 years.

Melba Festival 2007 - Yarra Grange Garden Festival Party Concert

The inaugural Melba Festival 2007 will be held in celebration of Dame Nellie Melba in the beautiful surroundings of the Yarra Valley region, Victoria. With a variety of concerts held between Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th March, the festival will feature artists such as Duo Sol, the Flinders Quartet, Helen Noonan and the Stilletto Sisters. I feel privileged to be involved in this new and exciting event amongst such distinguished artists.

Program: As part of the festival, I will be performing a new arrangement for piano and strings (by Stefan Cassomenos) of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.2 in c minor Op.18 with the Yarra Grange String Ensemble.
