The Emruz Festival, held in the heart of West Village NYC, is an exciting arts festival showcasing Iranian artists in New York. I am thrilled to have been asked to play a small part in the 2022 festival, by performing a recital of the piano works of Javad Maroufi, following the success of my solo album in Australia of the same repertoire some years ago. The Melba Opera Trust is a gateway to Australia’s finest opera singers to refine their art and further their careers on the world’s biggest and most important stages. I am super excited to be touring all around Australia with amazing musicians Emily Sun (violin) and Nicolas Fleury (french horn) in a program featuring Brahms’ horn trio, an arrangement for the same combination of Mozart’s horn quintet, and a brand new violin sonata by one of Australia’s most illustrious composers - Gordon Kerry. Monash University’s Wood, Metal and Vibrating Air Piano Recital Series is an exciting opportunity for me to present a solo concert in the stunning David Li Sound Gallery. The program will feature a set of variations by Haydn, works by romantic giants Chopin and Schumann, and a stunningly reflective work by Melbourne-based cellist and composer Caerwen Martin. Melbourne is slowly returning to its old self, with regular live performances becoming the norm once again. The Melbourne Digital Concert Hall is no exception with concerts abound, including the new Kawai Piano Series. I am delighted and honoured to be taking part in this series with a recital on Wednesday March 17th 2021 at 7pm (AEDT). The program will include two workhorses of the piano repertoire - the Chopin 1st Ballade and the Beethoven Waldstein sonata. I am also excited to present a new work by exciting US composer Anawim Avila, entitled The Accumulation. It will be wonderful to see you there, live at the Atheneum in Melbourne! Otherwise, as always with MDCH, you can watch the concert in the comfort of your own home.
